India is the world's largest milk producer, accounting for 25% of all milk produced worldwide. In the past nine years, between the years 2014–15 and 2022–23, India's milk production has increased by 58%, reaching 230.58 Mn Tonnes in 2022–23. The milk creation has expanded at CAGR 6% over the course of the last ten years.

States with Highest Milk Production

The following states produce the most milk: Uttar Pradesh (15.72%), Rajasthan (14.44%) Madhya Pradesh (8.73%), Gujarat (7.49%) and Andhra Pradesh (6.70%). Together, they produce 53.08 percent of the nation's milk; total Milk production in the country.

And India's Export of Dairy Products Worldwide was 63,738.47 MT for the value $272.64 million during the year 2023-24
